Dr. Amy Kennedy graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. Her first veterinary job was at Valley Vet Clinic. She later went out on her own to practice medicine and began her mobile services. In 2009, she purchased Valley Vet Clinic. She is happily married to Dave Kennedy and lives in Sinks Grove with their four-legged child, Compadre the Border Collie. Dr. Amy enjoys showing her Clydesdale mare, Brandy. She has a special interest in equine reproduction and acupuncture. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, reading, spending time with family, traveling (especially to national parks), and she is a history buff.

Renae Livesay
Renae has been an employee of Valley Vet Clinic for 15 years. She enthusiastically greets our clients every Saturday morning. She recently retired from the Department of Health & Human Resources after 32 years of employment. She resides in Ronceverte with her husband, Jimmy, and many pets including 2 dogs, 8 cats, 5 goats, and 3 ducks. Renae loves to bake, cook, and garden in her spare time.
Lisa Petruz
Our receptionist, Lisa, joined Valley Vet Clinic in April 2015. She moved to West Virginia after retiring from her 33-year employment as senior clerk typist in New Jersey. She loves the rural atmosphere of Monroe County. She lives with her husband and their German Shepherd, Rommell. They have two grown sons still residing in NJ. Lisa enjoys meeting and greeting the wonderful pets and clients of VVC. In her spare time, she enjoys daily walks with Rommell, watching classic movies, and travel. LMP

Mary Blankenship
Mary has been a veterinary assistant at Valley Vet Clinic for 16 years. She lives in Greenbrier County with her husband and son. Mary loves animals and has a farm with many dogs, cats, chickens, cattle, pigs, and goats. Her favorite aspect of veterinary work is assisting with surgery and has a special love for Caesarian sections. In addition, Mary also grooms our patients on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. She enjoys reading, sewing, and gardening in her spare time.
Ashleigh Morrow
Ashleigh joined Valley Vet Clinic in July 2016. She resides in Greenville. She has always wanted to expand her knowledge and experience in the veterinary field and is happy to join our team. She loves her loyal 4-legged companions, Kai (Doberman cross) and Keena (Norwegian Elk Hound cross). In her spare time, she enjoys shooting firearms, mudding, and horseback riding.

Julie Hoke, Office Manager
Julie is our office manager and book-keeper at Valley Vet Clinic. She has been managing the clinic for many years. She resides on a farm in Monroe County with her family. In addition to helping VVC operate efficiently, Julie owns and works at Greenbrier Meat Company with her husband, Rem Hoke. She has a passion for horses, gardening, cooking, and spending time with their children.
